Benannt wird die neue Hall of Fame nach dem Dortmunder Graffiti und Street Art Künstler „HARRY“. „HARRY“ hat seine Liebe zum Graffiti bereits Mitte der 80er Jahre entdeckt und zählt damit zur ersten Generation der Graffitiaktiven im Ruhrpott. Von 1989 bis 1992 wohnte und malte er in Gelsenkirchen. Für die Gelsenkirchener Graffiti Crew DRK (Die Rappel Kannen), war HARRY seinerzeit Mentor und Vorbild. Die DRK Crew, bestehend aus 4 jungen Graffitiwritern, formierte sich 1991 und gilt als Startschuss der lokalen Graffitiszene.
Darüber Hinaus haben einige Künstler seit der Eröffnung die Chance genutzt die neue Fläche in der Stadt zu nutzen. Hier ein kleiner Einblick!
